Surf · Hike · Yoga

Come join us in the secluded paradise of El Paredón and Antigua, Guatemala, for a delightful and adventure-packed seven-night, eight-day retreat. Immerse yourself in daily surfing and yoga, and end the trip by summiting one of the world’s most renowned volcanoes. Throughout the week, we'll embrace the laid-back Central American vibe and explore mesmerizing volcanic black-sand beaches. You'll have the opportunity to indulge in daily yoga sessions, ride consistent waves, and bask in stunning sunsets.

After five days of relaxing by the beach, we'll make our way to the charming city of Antigua, where we'll get a taste of Guatemalan culture and history through vibrant markets, lively festivals, and traditional crafts that showcase the country's rich heritage.

Finally, we’ll end the trip with a bang — Guatemala’s famous volcano trek. We'll hike to the summit with gorgeous panoramic views along the way and spend our final night together in a cozy mountain cabin, gathered around the campfire, with surreal views of Volcán de Fuego erupting in the distance.

Volcano Acatenango Hike

Join us to complete the most popular overnight hike in Guatemala along side professional guides. For numerous travellers, the Acatenango trek stands out as the pinnacle of their journey through Central America. Despite its size and the challenge it presents, the payoff of resting in cozy wooden cabins with breathtaking views of the active Fuego Volcano is truly extraordinary.

The most epic part of the adventure is the opportunity to spend the night camping while watching the Fuego Volcano erupt with lava and a boom from the comfort of your wood cabin!

Please note, the volcano hike is completely optional. If you only wish to complete the first 5 nights of the retreat in El Paredon, that is doable and the price will be reduced!

Difficulty

The Acatenango Hike Difficulty level is high but doable, even for people with a below average fitness level. Hiking the volcano is also relatively safe. One of the biggest challenges is the elevation; altitude sickness whilst normally not severe can make hiking that much harder.

Temperature

The temperature on the Acatenango Hike can vary greatly as can Acatenango’s weather. It can be 20+ degrees Celsius (68+ Farenheit) in the day as you hike up and get down to below 0 degrees Celsius (32F) at night.
